Multiplism is a unique concept and form of art that was created in 1979 by artist Victor Victori. Victori's development of this style has been unrivaled in the art world and contains many deep emotional and religious ideologies beneath the work. Victori believes life begins when God grants us a soul and a mind, and multiplism is a method of painting the mind and its ideas, as well as the soul's essence and its emotions in the form of facial expression. Multiplism broadens the single moments in time that mundane portraiture captures by personifying the many moods and emotions of a being that are constantly changing within us all. It is an artistic representation of the spectrum of time in which our minds and feelings change rather than one single moment in time. Victori illustrates through his subjects the plural Minds of Man that God has granted us as there is never a singular face that could encompass all that we represent. Multiplism portrays any given subject as who they really are within and not what they appear to be on the outside.
